In Australia, workplaces must follow occupational health and safety regulations – amongst others, these specify that businesses and care organisations must have personnel on staff with current, recognised workplace-approved CPR and first aid training.
This is why PADI Asia Pacific’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO, ID#6729) mapped and designed workplace courses for providing CPR & AED, Basic Life Support and First Aid to meet Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) requirements for several units of competency from the Health Training Package. The most popular courses are:
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 Provide first aid
- HLTAID012 Provide first aid in an education and care setting
- HLTAID013 Provide first aid in remote or isolated site
- HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid
- HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
- HLTAID016 Mange first aid services and resources
EFR Instructors, Trainers and training centres registered with PADI’s RTO may offer numerous other Nationally Recognised Training first aid related courses, e.g. Low Voltage Rescue, Manual Handling Methods, Basic Emergency Oxygen, etc.
